Welcome to Triad GLBT Christian! We're here to connect, educate, and empower GLBT Christians in the North Carolina Triad and beyond. Through this blog we will provide resources and create a forum that addresses issues affecting GLBTs who are Christian, ex-Christian, or Christian-curious.
While we both belong to affirming, gay-positive Episcopal Churches in the Triad, far too many GLBT persons have been spiritually abused and abandoned by their faith communities. As a result, some have become cynical about organized religion, some have succumbed to dangerous ex-gay ministries promoted by Exodus International, and some continue to search for a loving Christian community in which to live out their spiritual journey. We hope that this blog speaks to any and all of these individuals, as well as those straight allies who support the full inclusion and acceptance of GLBTs in our Christian churches.

- Beth Bealle and Karen Favreau are a Christian couple residing in the Triad. Beth is a local activist working through the Episcopal Church to end global poverty and promote full inclusion of GLBT persons in the Church. Karen is a freelance writer, graduate student in Counseling & Educational Development, and deacon candidate in the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina.

Awesome idea! It would be great to get together with other gay and lesbian Christians in the Triad.
Seems like we have a bit in common. My partner and I went from atheist to Buddhist to Quaker. Been a Friend for a number of years now.
